The List of Lust

2025-04-10
It's a very long list, my list of lust, a meandering montage of various tastes and desires that run from food to flesh, from travel to words and music, and back again to appetites of the eyes, magnifying all that I see which captivates me. Yes, we are human and therefore susceptible to a wide variety of lusts. We are born filled with lust for our mother's nipple, and this soon migrates from the nipple to other body parts once our own body reaches puberty, well ideally at least.

We are designed anatomically to produce lust within ourselves. And particularly where men are concerned, if this valve of lust isn't released in its full force, then a well-known condition called 'blue balls' can occur but only after the lust has been ignited by another man or woman. A man doesn't acquire blue balls if he's just minding his own business. Someone has to ignite his lust. And the condition that afflicts women, if their lust isn't reciprocated by a non-willing partner is simply a physiological reaction called eternal memory: she will not ever forget that you rejected her. 😅😇I am a woman. I should know. I never forget.

I tell ya. I am often smiling on the inside when I re-read my own posts. [Should I really write this? Yes! Do not doubt your instincts, Patricia!]

Our minds are feverish and impatient. Our minds look for lust around street corners and inside book covers, in between bed sheets and under rocks. Many religious leaders would have you believe that lust is sinful, diabolical and the work of the devil. I say hail to lust and its deep well of interest for without it, there would be no painters, sculptors, musicians, poets, writers, actors and architects. The lust to create and destroy, to re-create or re-build again and again has been the prime motivator of many a great work of art, since the days when laws decreed that all those who did not obey would be incarcerated for thinking such vile and wicked thoughts, at the hands of lust. Like any good artist, I believe ideals should be challenged and torn down as often as possible and I rely heavily on my lust for words to accomplish this goal. Without lust, I wouldn't be here, living on this strange and wonderful planet, because my father wouldn't have lusted for my mother, and subsequently the two wouldn't have been able to create the fertilization of an egg to spawn my erotic mind.

You see? Lust is an integral aspect of your existence.

The list of lust is so varied with every person, that only you are in a position to devise the ultimate number of lusts which drive you to push forward every day. My list is a good list. It's a kind of list that changes as every decade passes before me and I look in the mirror and determine what compels me to do the things I do. So here and now I shall reveal my list of lust, at a time in my life when I feel wisest and assured of my desires. Possibly when I'm in my nineties, my list of lust will diminish, maybe even diminish to nothing.

For now, these are the things for which I lust:

1. Men in torn jeans
2. Orgasms in the morning
3. Food (including dark chocolate)
4. Dirty words
5. Photographic images (not AI-generated)
6. Stimulating conversations
7. Fine wine
8. Music and Movies
9. Travel
10. Creativity and imagination
11. Bedroom eyes and a throaty voice
12. Kissing
13. Sunny skies for cycling
14. Peace and quiet

My list is by no means a complete list. At one time in humanity, way back when Kings and feudal lords ruled the land, laws were general static in their application, which meant they didn't evolve with changing times and, anyone brave enough to deviate from the accepted norm of behaviour might be punished. Now, in our modern age, our laws are considered dynamic because as societies change, so do laws to accommodate these changes. Think of Oscar Wilde in the late 1900s and how he had spent several years in prison because of his lust for young men, the age of men still in college and learning, impressionable, yet assured of what they wanted, and their opinions, like all young adults. However, sodomy was against the law, even tho' men have been enjoying one another for thousands of years. I support their lust, quite frankly, as I stand in support of those who lust for anyone of any sex, providing feelings are mutually reciprocated.

Between two adults, you should defend with your life a person's right to lust for whoever they wish because the day you don't, that'll be the day someone comes along and decides for whom your bell will toll. I kid you not.
